Former Pakistan cricket captain Wasim Akram has said that he does not want to coach the Pakistan team because people here are insulting him through social media which will not be tolerated by him.

In an interview with YouTube channel Cricket Pakistan, the former fast bowler, known as the Sultan of Swing, said that the team plays on the field and the coach can only help the players in training and planning before the match.

Explaining the reason for not coaching Pakistan, he said, "Pakistan cricket team needs at least two to two and a half hundred days of coaching in a year which is a difficult task for me."

"I don't want to be away from my country and my family."

During the interview, Wasim Akram was seen praising Pakistan's young fast bowler Shaheen Afridi and said that his bowling was improving rapidly.

"Now they (Shaheen) have a problem with rest. They should ask him, son, should you rest or not. We should not imitate the world that if the Australian players rest, we will too."
